Job Title: Finance Assistant (SRF #87)
Reports to: Senior Finance Officer
Location: Amman
Background:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports on a timely basis.
2. Conducts daily and weekly cash count and reconciliations.
3. Responsible of main office cash management.
4. Seek appropriate authorization and ensuring that all supporting documents are collected and attached to vouchers.
5. Support month closure in coordination with Senior Finance Officer - Accounting.
6. Prepare payments related to international staff.
7. Preparation of the day-to-day checks and cash payments to vendors.
8. Monitors and ensures project spending are all in line with approve budget(s) in coordination with the budget holders and supervisor.
9. Assist the team during audit visits.
10. Support monthly scanning
11. Monitoring of cash flow and ensure proper cash management.
12. Liaise with bank representatives to obtain the needed documentation.
13. Ensures that internal controls are established, reviewed, and maintained according to IMC and donor guidelines.
14. Monitors and controls cash advances and ensure timely clearance.
15. Processing volunteers’ payments.
16. Any other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. BA in Accounting or Similar Field.
2. English fluency is a must.
3. 0-2 years of experience.
4. INGOs experience is preferred.
5. Knowledge of Cost point accounting software is preferred.
6. Have the flexibility to reallocate within the country.
